Project Manager - Multiple Roles - June 2013 Contract

A fantastic opportunity has become available for experienced Project Managers within a Government Department for a long-term contract role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead one or more allocated projects to deliver project outputs in accordance with the program schedule, budget, and quality standards;
- Undertake and manage project scope, planning, reporting and control activities as part of the wider program effort;
- Create and maintain project documentation;
- Manage technical and business resources to deliver project work packages;
- Manage project risks and resolve project issues;
- Report to Project Board(s) on the progress of the project(s);
- Attend project meetings with the project teams and client, (ranging from formal project board meetings to informal ad-hoc discussions); and
- Liaise with the Project Management Office and change management groups in respect to creating project-related change requests.

SKILLS:

- Demonstrated experience managing, planning, and executing relevant Information and Communications Technology infrastructure projects or components of major ICT Programs (5+ years);
- Demonstrated understanding of, and accreditation in, Prince2 and or other Project Management methodologies;
- Demonstrated understanding of the Systems Engineering Life Cycle and Software Development Lifecycle;
- Proven ability to engage with stakeholders;
- Experienced in managing project finances in the Australian Public Service; and
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
