Our client is a worldwide leading engineering and manufacturer of capital equipment for the steel making industry, known for their strengths in mechanical engineering, electronics, automation, manufacturing, project management and service. For their location in the area of Nuremberg we are looking for a Project Manager (m/f) Hardware Design Drives for Metal Applications for an unlimited permanent position.
Project Manager (m/f) Hardware Design Drives for Metal Applications

Location: Area of Nuremberg

Type of contract: unlimited permanent position direct with our client

Your key tasks:
*Configuration and design of the drives according to the rolling mill application area
*Responsible for the hardware engineering of MV and LV drives (eg. Siemens, ABB, GE, Hitachi, etc.) as well as the MCC
*Creation of circuit diagrams and terminal connection tables for the production of LV drive, auxiliary and MCC cabinets
*Project support regarding technical questions and solutions
*Preparation of the relevant Interface between drive system and coupled automation system
*Completion of the standard solutions, documentation and calculation for the hardware engineering of MV and LV drives
*Preparation of the hardware engineering documentation using project-specific design guidelines based on the standard solution
*Responsibility for the allocation and controlling of engineering work packages in engineering centers (worldwide)
*Active change management within the subprojects
*Responsibility for deadline / cost control and quality assurance
*Responsibility for the procurement of material and production performance in collaboration with the purchasing department

Your profile:
*Degree in electrical engineering, specialized in drive technology or electrical engineering
*Profound professional experience in hardware engineering / hardware configuration of MV and LV drives as well as the MCC using the tool EPLAN P8
*Knowledge in the metal sector
*Knowlegde of various drive systems like Siemens, ABB, TMEIC or Hitachi
*High customer orientation
*Results driven
*Good communication, planning and organizational skills
*Fluent English language skills, spoken and written
*Willingness to travel worldwide (ca. 30%)
