Project Manager

The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for the successful execution and delivery of several strategic projects within scope, timing, budget and quality, in accordance with the methodology & standards.
This is a key transversal role requiring a comprehensive view of the Business strategy & model from a people, process, data and technology perspective.

The PM will join the Project Management Office, which is a department composed of a team of skilled resources fully dedicated to the following mission:

"Provide transversal services to the whole Organization in support of the General Manager & the Executive Committee to steer the Business Transformation and to implement the Strategy by ensuring the control & execution of a roadmap of strategic projects".

Principal accountabilities:

Ensure that all strategic projects under his/her responsibility are delivered as per scope, time and budget agreed, and with quality.
Work in close relationship with management of Head Office and Regional Offices to build efficient project teams with the right people assigned as project team members.
Build project plans in alignment with business objectives and ensure commitments are respected.
Manage project's budget and business case in alignment with strategic master business case.
Define and monitor project objectives & KPIs.
Provide regular projects status reports on time to the management team.
Organize regular project team meetings.
Schedule ad-hoc decisional meetings with project board members.
Manage interactions with external and outsourcing partners involved in projects.
Contribute to the progressive improvement of the company wide communication related to projects.
Take all necessary actions to close all issues affecting projects & mitigate identified risks.
Apply, promote and enhance the project management methodology, processes, standards, and act as a coach.

Key attributes:

Master Degree or equivalent by experience.
10+ years of general business experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proven experience in managing large strategic projects in big organizations dealing with complex processes and requiring involvement of numerous internal departments and external stakeholders.
Having ensured the PM role in scope of a replacement project of a Legacy application is an advantage.
An experience in the Insurance industry (Insurance & Reinsurance) and with the implementation of Insurance packages (eg Sapiens ALIS, Majesco Elixir, CSC SICS, ) is an asset.
Very good knowledge and experience with project management standards and methodologies (PMI, Prince2, Agile methodologies).
Holding a Project Management Certification is an asset.
Knowledge of most common PM software solutions.
Advanced proficiency with Office tools, Enterprise systems and CRM platforms (preferably Salesforce).
Technical knowledge & experience in various IT technologies & platforms is an asset.
Strong level of commitment & sense of responsibilities.
Ability to challenge established ideas/processes and propose new alternatives.
Pragmatic and proactive, Can do attitude.
Open-minded, diplomatic & courteous.
Ability to communicate and document clearly with the right level of details.
Experience in communication with C-levels and directors.
Good listening skills and empathy are key competencies.
Ability to be result driven and solution oriented.
Willingness and availability to travel occasionally.
