Project Manager - Halifax - Our client, a leading UK Bank, is looking for a Business Change Project Manager up to £356 per day

This is an initial 6 month contract with long term extensions available starting ASAP and is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who wants to progress their career in an exciting programme for one of the world's leading banks. We need a strong implementation PM with the full suite of analytical and business facing Change Management skills.

A new payments directive has to be implemented by the UK government by 18th September 2016 to meet its treaty obligations. Payments Account Directive sets out common regulatory standards that Member States are required to meet in order to improve comparability of fees related to payment accounts for day to day transactions, switching of those accounts, and access to accounts with basic features.

Reporting into the Programme Manager, you will be accountable for delivery of the payments account changes to comply with regulation. We are looking for a high calibre candidate with experience of leading change across a wide ranging complex business, managing a small team as well as challenging stakeholders.

Some of the role responsibilities will be too:

- Work with IT and business teams to agree and manage delivery plans across the project.
- Tracking milestones, presentation & escalation of risks and issues, chairing project management groups and inputting to steering groups
- Working as part of a large programme delivery team, directing a small project team
- Readiness and implementation planning
- Managing the relationship with key business stakeholders
- What we need is a good Project manager with extensive implementation experience
- Strong negotiation skills dealing with senior stakeholders across multiple geographies
- Proficient in use of analytical tools and structured analysis techniques
- Experienced self-starter
- Good stakeholder management, collaborative worker
- Ideally financial services experienced.
- Excellent previous duration
