ROLE: Project Manager for Network Programmes

TERM: 6 months initially, rolling 3 month after that.

LOCATION: Dublin City Centre

SALARY: 400euro;-450euro;/day

ONLY CANDIDATES WITH EU PASSPORTS WILL BE CONSIDERED

Networks, Programme Manager

Key Responsibilities

- Establish project plan and initiate project mobilisation by confirming scope, estimates, resources, roles and responsibilities
- Monitor and control execution of project though the Scope, Assessment, Requirements, Design, Build, Test and Deploy phases of project delivery
- Provide leadership and decision making support by establishing project governance
- May be required to manage multiple projects within a portfolio
- Prepare and maintain realistic project and quality plans
- Prepare and maintain accurate risk, assumptions, issues and dependency (RAID) logs
- Proactive communication to business owners and stakeholders
- Monitor and control performance against project plans
- Monitor and control allocated human and material resources, associated OPEX costs and all capital costs against the project budget
- Work with Networks, Operations, IT and business teams to ensure business strategy and project requirements are understood, and solution is fit for purpose
- Evaluate and makes recommendations/decisions on technical options as appropriate
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure successful and timely delivery of projects
- Liaise with other managers as appropriate within the business as necessary to drive project delivery; resolve delivery-impacting issues, escalate in a timely manner and manage stakeholder and programme management expectations for projects
- Manage post implementation reviews by ensuring that own projects are formally closed, reviewed, and lessons learned are captured and actioned
- Produce appropriate documentation to support these processes
- Identify opportunities to improve business or project processes, and ways of delivery business performance objectives Management of third party suppliers to review the status of projects
- Lead cross-functional project teams; allocating and monitoring tasks to ensure effective delivery

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

- At least 6 years of programme/project management experience in a Networks or Network Operations environment
- Strong track record of on-time, on-budget and to-specification delivery of projects
- Demonstrable evidence of managing the full project life cycle
- Experience of managing projects in a fast paced, changing environment
- Experience in project planning and using MS Office suite of tools to manage tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Sound judgment, decision-making skills, and the ability to work under deadline pressure required
- Management of stakeholder expectations
- Hands-on ability to manage and mitigate risk
- Management of major changes in business processes to achieve optimisation of benefits

Experience of working on Telco network rollout, OSS/BSS implementations and Network Operations is an advantage.
