A Multinational Bank, with HQ in Dublin City Centre, seek a Project Manager on a 6 month rolling contract. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, execution and managing a geographically dispersed Matrix team to deliver on a top focus programme involving the transition of new users to the core banking system used by the Corporate Investment Bank. Flexcube is a corporate banking platform used in all regions, with the largest footprint in EMEA (50 countries). The EMEA platform has a multitude of key user groups spanning across GTS, Capital Markets and Finance, with a year on year book of work consistently exceeding $10MM. There are a number of strategic programmes (eg Flexcube v11 upgrade, Local Commercial Bank ) that will significantly impact EMEA in 2013, and it is expected that the BoW will grow to $20MM over the next few years.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Operate as a Senior Project Manager within business technology managing Sponsor and Stakeholder relationships on a day-to-day basis. Scope out and plan deliverables that meet an initial business case. Manage a dispersed team to deliver to tight deadlines across a complex organisation with varying levels of process and procedure. Manage projects through an end-to-end project life cycle in conjunction with a toolkit consisting of tools eg MS Project, and in accordance with project templates & quality check gates. For the chosen candidate, this is an ideal opportunity to gain exposure to a key initiative. The programme aims to deliver the best results for the firm in agreement with cross functional sponsors and stakeholders. This is an opportunity for a strong candidate with recognised experience of managing technology projects/programmes within Corporate Banking together with the software development life cycle.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS:

- Effective escalation management
- Strong problem solving skills (facilitate and drive solutions, options, alternatives)
- Excellent relationship management skills in a senior stakeholder (Managing Director) environment
- Drive and commitment to make the programme successful, and marketed correctly within the organisation
- Understand, define and deliver on set targets, deadlines and deliverables
- Excellent Communication skills:
- Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly at every level (up, down, and laterally) throughout the organisation
- Clear and concise communication with strong written and verbal presentation

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

- Project Management and People Management (leadership) with a proven track record of managing complex initiatives
- Experience of a software development environment
- Experience of managing resources including remote teams
- Appropriate (industry recognised) project management accreditation eg PMI, Prince2
- Experience of experience in managing large teams in large and complex, global organisations with multiple internal and external suppliers/support functions
