DESCRIPTION:
Working with the various stakeholder teams, the Project Manager will collaborate with other project managers and project sponsors on the planning, organization and implementation of various business strategies. The Project Manager will be a liaison for the other Project Teams and organization with external consultants, vendors to support all strategic activities.
- Liaise with external consultants, vendors and internal lines-of-business
- Provide project management direction and guidance to various project teams, adhering to proven project management methodologies, namely Agile methodology, and processes
- Provide direction to define and manage project scope
- Oversee task management of project resources Review and provide input on project documentation
- Collaborate with reporting managers to effectively resource projects
- Collaborate on the review and analysis of key business processes
- Collaborate on the implementation of the communications plan
- Work within project portfolio framework and adhere to defined standards and guidelines
- Assist with change management directives and promote adoption of change
- Manage the implementation of a new general ledger, accounts payable, reporting and accounts receivable (Axis by Campana)
- Develop and support innovate solutions to meet the needs of the organization that align with system architecture and strategic goals
- Provide regular updates and information to project stakeholders regarding project progress and emerging issues
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- University Degree and Project Management Professional certification preferred
- 5-7+ years project management experience
- Proven track record of financial project management, implementing of a new general ledger, accounts payable, reporting, accounts receivable systems
- Strong financial background with the ability to understand financial concepts, challenges, is able to consult and advise the Finance group on how to resolve challenges and issues
- Must be a strong leader and have the ability to explain and educate
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Strong understanding of SDLC, software development life cycle
- Strong ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve extraordinary results in a high performance culture
- Excellent skills in project management and planning, using tools such as Microsoft Project
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
