Project Manager Engineering

Our client, a global pharmaceutical organisation, is looking for a Senior project manager who will primarily be responsible for the management of capital investment projects. He/she will be responsible for the scoping, engineering and execution of capital investment projects of new and existing manufacturing facilities, production equipment, laboratories and site infrastructure in the worldwide Network. He/she will report to the head of Project Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for the execution of a portfolio of strategic large projects (budget 5 - 20M US$) from concept design studies through to the complete implementation of business solutions for investment projects at all sites.
- Collaborates with contractors, suppliers and other team members in the execution of the work.
- Evaluates performance on a regular basis and establishes (together with the head of Project management) points for improvement.
- Knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, co-ordinating, and managing projects and resources, and together with the head of Project Management, monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance.
- Knowledge of the principles and methods to identify, analyze, specify, design, and manage facilities; includes translating functional requirements into technical requirements used for design and/or presenting alternative technologies or approaches

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

- BSc. or higher in Engineering.
- Excellent analytical abilities and a solid base in engineering fundamentals.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
- Proven written and verbal communication in English and other languages.
- Ability to act as facilitator and chairman in international meetings.
- 10+ Years of experience in engineering/project management, project engineering for larger and/or complex investment projects.
- Willingness to be involved in temporary work a at other locations in the region or elsewhere In Europe.
- 20-30% travel is expected across the sites.
