Project Manager - Dodd-Frank (Title VII) - Contract

The derivatives market is undergoing an unprecedented level of change, driven principally by the regulations of EMIR and Dodd-Frank. Insurance need to ensure that the impacts of the regulations to the Insurance Life/Pension and OEIC funds are understood and thereby implement a solution within Insurance which meets regulatory requirements. Progress of the project will report into the Group Dodd Frank (Title VII) and EMIR project team managed by the Group. The OTC EMIR Clearing regulations will involve significant impacts to the end to end operational fund accounting/Back Office and Middle Office function for the Insurance life/pension and OEIC funds which have been outsourced to external third party administrators and fund managers.

The firm requires an experienced professional who can successfully implement the regulations via strong project management skills and detailed knowledge of Dodd Frank (Title VII), Central Clearing House and Derivative products.

SKILL SETS

- Proven Project Management skills, leading execution of large scale change projects, across multiple functional areas
- Proven track record in the delivery of transformational change for Insurance funds, working across multiple business functions with Insurance (ie Legal, Regulatory Risk, Investment Propositions, Fund Managers) at the MD level to shape and deliver business change and the supporting IT applications and infrastructure
- Deep knowledge and experience in the OTC Derivative product sets and their transaction life cycles, plus good working knowledge of FX beneficial
- Has expert' knowledge in the area of OTC Clearing at Central Counterparties esp. LCH SwapClear. Other CCP experience ie CME, ICE Clear and Eurex is also beneficial. Responsible for supporting the translation of an Operational Target Operating Model and shaping this into delivery solutions and roadmap
- Takes a structured and logical approach to change delivery, whilst maintaining a sharp focus upon the delivery of the business benefits. Maintains the highest standards of transparency and control throughout the change life cycle and ensures that all stakeholders are fully engaged and communicated with effectively across all elements of the Programme
- A proven and effective communicator and stakeholder manager
- A strong team manager, who can effectively organise, motivate and direct a large and diverse, matrixes team across multiple functions and delivery partners, with a focus on creating value for the business
- Ensures full compliance with Group change processes, standards and methodologies
