Project Manager,Citrix Migration

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To project manage the selection of technology partners
Following partner selection, to work closely with that partner to ensure design and delivery tasks are completed to time, cost and quality
To closely manage the inter-dependencies within the broader Colleague Technology programme to ensure that the Desktop Transformation, Email, and Applications Readiness Projects are all delivering to meet Project timescales.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Successful Project management and delivery of at least 2 enterprise Virtualisation implementations in the last 5 years.

Knowledge and significant experience of implementing the following technologies:
Virtualization technology with Citrix and VMware platforms
Design and deployment of VMWare
Migration of users and services between thin environments
Executing OAT and UAT
Great inter-personal, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Accomplished manager and team player who can rapidly build highly effective collaborative working within a recently established team
Commercially aware, Statement of Work/contract construction/review experience and third party management

DESIRABLE SKILLS:
Migration from Windows XP to Windows 7 & 8
Active Directory
Client Server Applications
Application discovery, remediation and rationalisation
Web application delivery
Troubleshooting and remediating MSI and App-V packages

The Bank has several Legacy Citrix farms which are deployed from shared Co-operative Group infrastructure which now require rationalisation and separation. In addition, the Bank is transforming its desktop and desktop deployment technology (ie from thick to predominantly Thin Client) which may also result in greater use being made of VMWare Horizon 6 technology.
