Project Manager - Business Intelligence

We currently have a position available with a leading Energy/Utilities organization who require the services of an experienced Project Manager who can display a "proven" background delivering &business intelligence& type projects.

The company is currently going through a large IT transformation and industry reform and this Project Manager will have accountability to build and develop the (BI) Business Intelligence and Data warehouse system and deliver a reporting structure (Further project defining details will be provided to short-listed candidates).

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Provide project leadership, project management expertise as well as engendering a strong culture of project delivery.  
- Business case development, defining and signing off the agreed Project scope, schedule, budget including the identification and delivery of all benefits.
- Implementing projects with a strong and robust governance process in accordance with project methodology, standards and procedures.
- Developing clear, well understood project management and decision processes.
- Presenting to the Project Sponsor.
- Monthly Project performance activities will be required to ensure the project is being managed effectively
- Secure the necessary project resources across the business
- Anticipate and address issues before they become critical problems
- Foster an environment of no surprises by managing the expectations of Sponsors and senior stakeholders. 

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE:

- Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline 
- Business Intelligence experience (ETL, Data Warehouse etc..)
- Experience in the Energy/Utilities will be highly regarded
- Project Management Competency or equivalent (eg AIPM - CPPM - Certified Practicing Project Manager, PMI - PMP - Project Management Professional, OGC- Prince 2) 
- MUST BE ABLE to display a background working on projects that were focused on Business Intelligence such as ETL or Data Warehouse.
- Extensive experience in Project management (Business and Technical Projects). 
- Proven record of successful delivering business outcomes through organizing, coordinating and working with staff and management across organizational boundaries
- Proven ability to negotiate and influence a diverse range of stakeholders in a changing environment. 
- Demonstrated experience in managing human resources including encouraging a strong performance culture driven to succeed.
