A Project Manager ensures the project is completed on time and within budget, that the project's objectives are met (according to scope).
Projects are separate to usual day-today business activities and require a group of people to work together to achieve a set of specific objectives.
A Project Managers oversees the project to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used and the different interests involved are satisfied.

Function Description
A project manager is accountable for the realization of a project (*). He/she
° Ensures estimation and planning of the project.
o estimate and follow-up of the project cost o estimate and schedule project activities
o keep track of people and progress o manage project staffing and/or sub-contracting
° Ensures the monitoring and the availability of all project deliverables, observing scope, quality, costs and deadlines as foreseen in the plans.
o Create and follow up a business case
° Ensures validation of all functional deliverables.
° Ensures and monitors that all requirements with regard to the realisation of the project are taken into account.
o making sure that all objectives and requirements are met ° Ensures that the different project documents are created and maintained during the project's life to reflect all changes occurred.
° Ensures application of the gating principles at the different project stages.
o adhere to policies and procedures defined by Compliance, Permanent Control and Operational Risk ° Ensures and reviews the ODR/DOU documents of the supplier(s) (via the Supplier Manager ) and contributor(s) to his project.
o monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained
° Monitors and manages all risks related to the project. o identify and monitor project risks
° Ensures communication between the business and the different stakeholders o reporting towards line management and stakeholders
° Publishes the regular progress reports and all deliverables stipulated in the project plan
o align and share information with all contributors, experts and sub-contractors involved in the project execution during all stages via (but not limited to) the appropriate meetings
° Contributes to the preparation of the project steering committees
° Participates to the project steering committees, representing IT
o agreeing project objectives with management and stakeholders
o representing the client's and organisation's interests
° Aligns and shares continuously information during the project with the parties who will ensure the "run" activity once the project is finished, handover at the end of the project He/she manages functionally (on content) the team of application analyst(s), test manager(s), …, assigned to his/her project o organizing the various professional people working on a project
° Ensure the right speed of adaption of the product or service ?
° providing advice on the management of projects ? (*) depending on the project
° accountabilities can cover all aspects of a project from the beginning stages through to completion
° accountabilities can spread over multiple businesses (e.g. IT, legal, HR, Marketing, …) or be limited to one business
° accountabilities can spread over multiple disciplines inside a business (e.g. both software and hardware aspects in an IT project) and multiple assets
Project managers typically lead by example.
A project manager can manage one or more projects.

Knowledge of the banking world in general.
Experience in managing projects involving contributions from stakeholders with different background.
Experience in definition of business and functional requirements in a banking context.

Preferable
Knowledge of the BNPPF organization.
Experience in projects on account and customer management systems
Experience in change management related to the implementation of projects.
