PROJECT MANAGER - BIDS, PROJECTS, PLANNING AND EVM

A Project Manager - Bids, Projects, Planning and EVM experience is required to work on a six month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Frimley.

This is a 6 month contract with a leading UK Defence Business.

OVERVIEW OF THE PROJECT MANAGER - CONTRACT ROLE

A Project Manager is required to support the bid and tendering processes to ensure bids meet customer needs, in line with business and commercial criteria that all risks are assessed effectively and that bids are realistic and winnable. Someone who can develop commercially viable project definitions to form a basis for developing and prioritising project plans.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE PROJECT MANAGER

- Ideally Degree/HNC/HND qualified in Business/Accountancy/Project Management etc or have equivalent experience in this type of role.
- Must have a background in Project Management/Supply Chain Management or Control Account Management (CAM)
- Have an understanding of the full project life cycle management process, especially the delivery and taking some project areas through to closure.
- Must have demonstrable skills and experience in Risk Management, Migration and Opportunity management.
- Proven experience of leading managing a diverse project team.
- Managed budgets of £5m - £10m+
- APM Qualified - Ideally but not essential. - Ideally have an awareness of Configuration Management/Configuration Control.
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, Powerpoint etc) along with report writing that will utilise these tools.
- Ideally have experience of using planning tools, mainly MS Projects.

The role is based in Surrey - commutable from Hounslow, Twickenham, Kingston upon Thames, Mitcham, Croydon, Sutton, Epsom, Leatherhead, Weybridge and Staines with excellent access from London, Hampshire and Berkshire
