PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to Project Stream Leader or Program Manager, The IT Project Manager role is responsible for active oversight of assigned projects. The ability to influence and interact productively with other IT teams including application support, data management, development and infrastructure is essential. The Project Manager leads efforts to establish project scope and deliverables and has excellent business relationship skills. This role works with the Program Manager/Stream Lead ensuring consistency in approach and project management process.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Manage multiple IT Projects as assigned
*Work with clients and other-matrixed IT managers coordinating resources and project deliverables.
*Administer Project management standards across all of IT using ITIL frameworks and general IT best practices.
*Provide overall direction for establishing project requirements, priorities and organization of all project deliverables.
*Manage time/resource allocations in IT time tracking application support and the collection of monthly service metrics.
*Ensure projects are created with reasonable resource estimates and budgets and work toward tracking utilization.
*Work with development and QA staff adapting SDLC process and project management process.
*Manage the reporting of project metrics and time tracking/business objective reporting.
Education and Experience
Minimum: 7 years min. experience in IT, 5 years project management, Bachelors degree in related field
Preferred: PMP certification as a Project Management Professional, Experience with Application of Business Process Management techniques, MS in IT related field
