Edinburgh, Project Change Manager - £350 - £380 per day. Urgent requirement for an experienced Business Change Project Manager to join a leading financial service organisation in Edinburgh.

Role Title - Manager, Anti-Money Laundering (AML)  & Sanctions

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Independent Monitoring and Control Functions and Group Policy Standard Owners are the 2nd Line of Defence, accountable for owning and developing the risk and control frameworks and tools which the 1st Line of Defence uses to discharge its responsibilities. The 2nd Line must be appropriately independent from the business and is accountable for overseeing and challenging the 1st Line of Defence on the effective management of its risks.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Actively consider the inherent, material risks of the business/organisation. 
- Establish and deploy robust risk and control frameworks which meet the strategic needs of the Group,.
- Provide expert support and advice to the business on the management of the risks which are overseen or controlled.
- Conduct suitable assurance to ensure 1st line compliance with policies/responsibilities
- Contribute in the development of a highly motivated team to deliver AML & Sanctions related projects and appropriate AML co-ordination across UK Retail.
- Deliver a range of AML project management activity in conjunction with Retail Change Management
- Ensure that AML & Sanctions projects developed and implemented are business driven.
- Ensure that project spend is managed against budget (where appropriate) to ensure no unauthorised cost excesses..
- Make sure that the Head of AML & Sanctions is engaged in significant matters as appropriate and that appropriate briefing papers are prepared to support this.

EXPERIENCE:

- Understanding of Anti-Money Laundering legislation and the impacts that this has on UK Retail Bank.
- Evidence of using effective planning and organising skills in a previous role.
- Understanding of Retail Operational Processes.
