The job holder would support the output of the Crew Escape Systems Team (CEST). The team is responsible for the management of Aircraft Assisted Escape System (AAES) and Crew Escape Systems (CES). These systems include ejection seat, associated explosives, related Aircraft Ground Support Equipment and supporting Air Publications (APs).

In particular you would be responsible for providing support for the management of equipment safety: Providing support for equipment fault management, which includes fault investigation, arranging for the embodiment of modifications and arranging for the issue of special instructions (Technical) when necessary. Support to provide configurations control of equipment and Associated Aps. This includes investigation and submission of Unsatisfactory feature reports of non-CEST sponsored AP's. It also involves the investigation of UFRs that are CEST sponsored and arranging for the incorporation of amendments when necessary using the design Organisation to distribute as necessary. Interaction with equipment stakeholders including the AAES/CES Design Organisations, other project teams and personnel at units involved with AAES/CES maintenance. Working with the CEST Supply Team, providing support that will ensure current and future levels of AAES spares and sufficient to meet customer requirements.
