Summary of Department Focus:

Cognizant created the Engineering and Manufacturing Solutions (EMS) practice, to focus its service delivery to manufacturing companies in discrete and process industries.
EMS practice design and deploy solutions targeting Control and Operations Management, Embedded Systems, and Product Engineering and Lifecycle Management needs of customers in discrete and process industries.
Cognizant partnership with technology leaders/vendors enables EMS to leverage manufacturing system expertise of Invensys and combine it with business system expertise of Cognizant to develop cutting edge technology solutions for its customers. Also, EMS Control and Operations Management team has delivered system integration services such as Manufacturing Execution Systems, Enterprise Asset Management, and Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence solutions of various vendors including Werum, Rockwell and Invensys.
We serve multiple industries with offerings spanning across industries that include Automotive, Oil & Gas, Utilities, Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverages, Specialty Chemicals, Consumer Electronics and Hi-Tech.
EMS is one stop shop for tailor made solutions to the most pressing engineering and manufacturing challenges. Over the years EMS has helped leading companies achieve business success by being their reliable partner.
To manage successful implementation of MES product (FTPS, from Rockwell) at the Client site, Italy site for a pharmaceutical client.
Work Location: Client site in Rome, Italy
Key Responsibilities: % of time
- Responsible for managing all aspects of the site implementation project
- Assures detailed project plan in place
- Monitors plan and keeps to schedule and scope
- Assures standard business processes are implemented and adopted
- Coordinates project communication including comprehensive monthly status reports
- Align and deliver as per global PMO and standards
Key Competencies.
Core: Project Management, Client management, Strong communication, Working experience with international/multi-location/multi-cultural teams
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (preferably, PMX/FTPC/FTPS products from Rockwell), Control Systems
- Knowledge of Weighing & Dispensing processes, Electronic Batch Recording
Experience:
- Experience in the Manufacturing domain preferably in Pharma.
Qualifications:
Preferably,
- Engineering (Manufacturing/Production) degree - B.Tech/M.Tech Engineering (IT, Automation)
Or MBA
- Certifications in Project Management.
