Project Manager

POSITION TITLE: PROJECT MANAGER

LOCATION: MINNEAPOLIS, MN 55487

WORK TYPE: W-2, CORP TO CORP, 1099

CONTRACT DURATION: 4 MONTHS + (STRONG POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION)

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project ensuring tight deadlines are met.
- Develop and manage project work plan using standard tools and techniques to control each work activity from inception to completion.
- Ensure that risks and issues are identified, analyzed and responded to maximizing positive results and minimizing adverse events.
- Monitor, document and report on project progress; provide appropriate status reports to stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project meetings work with project team and/or the project sponsor/owner.
- Manage project objectives - planning, defining, verifying and controlling project scope.
- Effectively apply methodology and enforce project quality standards; manage quality assurance and control project quality.
- Establish project documentation library and ensure appropriate project artifacts are filed
- Coordinate the development of defined deliverables, including but not limited to:
- Technical Requirements Documentation
- Business and Technical Design
- Test planning, execution, and documentation; validating testing of documented requirements
- Implementation, rollout, and transition to support operations
- System Documentation
- Project Change Requests (as warranted)

SKILL SETS NEEDED

- EXPERIENCE MANAGING PROJECTS MEETING TIGHT TIMELINES AND DELIVERING COMPLEX PROJECTS
- EXPERIENCE WITH PHARMACY BENEFITS MANAGER (PBM) VENDORS, HEALTH PLANS AND DATA WAREHOUSES
- FIVE OR MORE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS AN IT PROJECT MANAGER WITHIN THE LAST SEVEN YEARS
- Experience managing projects in a large, complex organization
- Knowledge of formal project management methodology
- Ability to collaborate and influence team members, senior management and sponsors.

- Successful transition to new PBM vendor processes
- Successful termination of old PBM vendor processes
