Project Manager

My client, a Transport organisation, are looking for a Project Manager to manage the end to end delivery of a Mobile application that is currently being developed.

The purpose behind the mobile application's launch is increased revenue generation. The idea is to make it as simple as possible for customers to spend money and buy tickets, thus increasing both customer experience and revenue coming into the organisation.

The main challenge will be delivering and finishing the testing of the application within the initial 3 month period. Managing the relationships between all senior stakeholders should not prove too challenging, however understanding the organisational structure will be very important, as will understanding how my client fit in with the wider transport industry within the UK.

Additional responsibilities of the Project Manager include:

Scoping, including gaining user input and requirements;
Producing tender documentation and undertaking tendering exercises;
Working with stakeholders (internal, suppliers) to change processes and systems to withdraw paper counterparts in the move to smart.

Key skills and experience:

Experience working within the UK Transport Industry, ideally within a ticketing or technical environment
Experience working within a Prince 2 methodology including maintaining relevant documentation (task lists/risk and issue logs, exception reports etc)
Experience preparing documentation, tender specifications etc
Experience working with stakeholders and liaising with users, suppliers etc
