Our client, a leading UK Defence Government Defence organisation is seeking a Project Manager on a contract basis to work in Clyde.

This is a contract role paying £405 Ltd per day Ltd on a 5 month contract initially

Key Skills:

Project Management experience in a Construction Environment
Qualification in Engineering/Construction
Experience of working in a Regulated environment eg Nuclear (Civilian Licenced Site or preferably MOD Authorised Site)
Nuclear Infrastructure/Construction/Demolition/Decommissioning
Membership of a professional body
MOD

DIO Infrastructure Projects Team at HM Naval Base Clyde. The team implements the HMNB Clyde Infrastructure Programme at both the Faslane and Coulport Sites.

This involves delivery of Infrastructure Projects from the Assessment Phase through to Construction and Commissioning (RIBA stages 2 - 6 inclusive).

Currently the bulk of the work is in the Assessment and Detailed Design Stages. In the main the work is undertaken via the DIO Principle Support Provider (PSP) Contracts. The role of DIO is to task, monitor and manage the PSP.

There are many projects within the programme which range from provision of Living Accommodation through to Waterfront Facilities that support specific vessel operations.

Key Tasks:

1. Management and co-ordination internal and external resources to ensure effective delivery of Project(s) through all stages of delivery; Assessment Studies, Preliminary/Detailed Design (including safety case where appropriate), Construction, Commissioning and Handover.
2. Responsible for performance review of the PSP through all stages of Delivery including content Progress Reports, Progress Meetings, Programme Reviews, Risk Reviews, Value Managementsummary, schedule progress, cost, risk, financial profile, resource, EVA, and commercial assessemnts.
4. Management of programme and project stakeholders to best support the DIO Clyde Infrastructure Programme in accordance with the Clyde Safety Management Arrangements and DIO Guidance; understand the constraints associated with working in a nuclear safety and security culture through out the project life cycle.
