This is a CONTRACT engagement (C2C, W2)

The project is scheduled to start March 23 and run for 12 months.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This resource will be utilized on various projects. The main responsibilities of this position include the following: perform in role of Project Manager, life cycle management, prepare and conduct status reporting and executive briefings, resource management, risk management, vendor management, time and cost management. This position will manage project time lines and lead the technical effort. This includes assigning and directing the work of staff as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

- 10 or more years of IT project management experience
- Working knowledge of application development in a variety of technical platforms
- Planning and management skills, including scope, estimating, budgeting and resource allocation procedures
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Proven leadership skills including team development and leadership
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Strong written and Verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects
- Strong knowledge of Project Management processes and industry best practices
- Demonstrated experience managing application development teams
- Microsoft Suite experience (eg, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Microsoft Project experience to include utilizing MS Project Server
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills
- Proven experience managing 3rd party vendor projects
- Proven experience managing large projects (> $2M)
- Proven experience developing and managing Projects
- PREFERRED:
- Strongly prefer PMP Certification
- Experience working in Project Management within government environment
- Experience working with multiple government agency stakeholders
- Experience working with GIS environments

Experience:
Min 10 years of IT project management, MS Project Server, 3rd party vendor projects, Large projects (> $2M). PMP preferred. GIS experience preferred. State Gov't experience preferred.
