Project Manager

Our Local Authority in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Project Manager.

Based within Adult Social Care and Support within the People Group, the Project Manager will be play a vital role in the delivery of the 'as is' and 'to be' customer journey. The Project Manager will lead the customer journey work across a number of modules across the Adult Social Care and Support Redesign Programme, including the Reablement Project, Transition to Adulthood Project, Occupational Therapy, Self Directed Report Cycle and Hospital Discharge.

Responsibilities will include

- working closely with the Business Lead, Finance and leading the work of Business Intelligence, Business Analysts and the project teams.
- Providing project management to support the delivery of the 'as is' and 'to be' customer journey.
- To Project Manage; confirm the scope, develop and manage the overall customer journey project plan, organise, manage interdependencies, risks, issues and resources, and monitor and manage the customer journey work across the individual modules/projects.
- To ensure effective stakeholder management, ensuring appropriate representation and input both internal and external to the organisation.

To be considered for this opportunity you must:

- Have experience of working within a similar position within a Local Authority Adult or Children's Social Care setting
- To manage the successful delivery of projects on time, to budget and of the right quality.
- To develop and manage individual project budgets and expenditure forecasts, ensuring delivery of the project to an agreed budget and providing updates on a regular basis.
- Familiarity with a range of process improvement methodologies (e.g. systems thinking, customer journey mapping, six sigma)
- Experience in leading and co-ordinating the work of project teams
