The key role of a Project Management Analyst is that of contributor to the planning and delivery of a project. The position will be accountable for contributing to the project initiation, planning and control for complex components, subsystems or processes. This position performs complex project planning, identifies critical issues, and drives the project team to resolve gaps and problems. Incumbents may work directly with different business units, suppliers, customers and/or other teams. This requires the ability to communicate information in a concise and accurate manner. Decisions made may affect the project team and its delivery of the project. Provides input for staffing and support of programs and creates accurate and detailed schedules.

SPECIFIC WORK ASSIGNMENT MAY BE AS FOLLOWS:

- Plan and lead program and project planning sessions. The incumbent will function independently in leading a large diverse program or project planning session. Responsibilities also include preparation and pre-work for the session as well as follow up and action ownership.
- Mentor/coach the leadership team and address leadership issues one-on-one with senior divisional and department management.
- Control a planning session, stop any side bar conversations constructively, and keep the team focused on the objectives.
- This project management position must be able to successfully hand off projects to Project Coordinators. The incumbent must also mentor/train Program Coordinators.

SKILLS:

REQUIRED:

- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technical Field (IT, Engineering)
- Project Management experience with minimum 1 year experience where the candidate's primary role was in project planning and scheduling using Critical Path Methodology (CPM) with a Project Scheduling Software Tool (eg, Primavera, MS Project)
- Professional Communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must be a self-starter with strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Experience with project meeting facilitation in corporate environment

- Portfolio resource management experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- MS Project experience.
- The ability to adapt to diverse business climates.
