Technical Project Manager, Disaster Recovery-Pleasanton, CA

Job Summary
This is a leadership position within the IT Infrastructure Program, a multi-year, multi-billion dollar initiative to remediate and transform Client's aging technology infrastructure to one that is flexible, resilient and supportive of the future delivery demands for Real Time, personalized healthcare.

The Program's business objectives include:

Transitioning the project requirements into a timely deliverables, following industry best practices, tools and standards and taking advantage of new advances in technology
Building a demonstrable disaster recovery capability to meet growing contractual demand from internal CLIENT customers, addressing compliance requirements from our regulatory agencies
Effectively managing high complexity projects pertaining to network isolation, backup and restore, virtualization to address DR requirements in a cost effective manner.
Strengthening our ability to proactively detect external threats that may disrupt or threaten our IT infrastructure.

This position is accountable for leadership of the Disaster Recovery team. This individual will work in partnership across multiple CLIENT enterprise teams to deliver architecture, engineering, quality assessment and testing, implementation, and support with program management leadership for 3 key tracks of work:

1. Continuous Disaster Recovery for CLIENT's most critical care delivery and business applications
2. Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and execution services for an enterprise portfolio
3. A Disaster Recovery strategy that supports the design, development, procurement, implementation, and operation of highly available enterprise solutions

This technical Project Manager will drive and support the delivering projects and overseeing teams to support CLIENT IT strategies and ensure that commitments made to senior leadership and our Board of Directors are met.

Qualifications- Minimum-BS in Computer Science or related field.
5-7 years of related IT experience including IT Project Management and expertise in large project implementation.
Demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analysis; have excellent skills in complex analytic problem solving, project management, change management, and group process.
Ability to manage human resources within CLIENT IT, motivate the staff to perform well, monitor performance of the individuals and the team.
Broad understanding of the software and technical infrastructure delivery process, including IT financial planning and budgeting experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage others through influence and collaboration.
Exhibit efficiency, collaboration, candor, openness, and results orientation.
Experience with an enterprise EMR and broad/deep understanding of the healthcare and insurance industries is a plus.
Proficient in team building, conflict resolution, group interaction, project management, and cost effective and budget management.
