Project Manager

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a PROJECT MANAGER to join our client in Charlotte, NC.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The IT PM will lead a project to implement MS Project Server for standard project management in the Grid Modernization line of business. This project will align with a separate initiative to implement the product for that includes conversion of a large portion of the target audience from Primavera.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execution of PM processes and deliverables
- Regular status reporting
- Management of sponsor expectations
- Ensuring that project requirements are documented and achieved
- Demonstrated effective PM skills, especially planning, staffing, and directing work efforts
- Demonstrated success translating objectives into project plans to include scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality
- Demonstrated success with managing a project schedule and budget
- Ability to work within a matrixed environment with accountability to Business Sponsors, IT Management/Sponsors, and IT PMO
- Ability to effectively apply established project standards and change management processes

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five (5) plus years experience applications PM
- Experience managing moderate to complex IT application development projects
- Experience with Smart Grid initiatives leveraging DOE funding
- Ability to effectively apply structured project management methodologies, preferably Accenture Delivery methods

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- Utility, Smart Grid, and SCADA system experience is desired
- In-depth experience leveraging MS Project Professional and MS Project Server 2010 is strongly desired
