Project Manager

Our client wishes to engage the services of a project manager with sound experience in managing ICT software development projects or work streams.

THE PROJECT MANAGER WILL:

- Lead one or more allocated projects to deliver project outputs in accordance with the program schedule, budget, and quality standards;
- Undertake and manage project scope, planning, reporting and control activities as part of the wider program effort;
- Create and maintain project documentation in accordance with program requirements and methodologies (based on MSP, Systems Engineering and Prince2);
- Manage technical and business resources to deliver project work packages;
- Manage project risks and resolve project issues;
- Attend meetings to report on the project progress.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

- Demonstrated experience managing, planning, and executing Information Technology software development projects or components of major ICT Programs (5+ years);
- Demonstrated understanding and accreditation of Prince2 and or other Project Management methodologies;
- Demonstrated understanding of the Systems Engineering Life Cycle and Software Development Lifecycle;
- Proven ability to engage with stakeholders;
- Experienced in managing project finances in the Australian Public Service; and
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

The contract is scheduled to commence FEBRUARY 2013 UNTIL 31 OCTOBER 2013. You must be an Australian citizen and a current Top Secret NV L2 Security Clearance is required.
