Project Manager

The ideal candidate will have or be able to do the following:

- SCHEDULE MANAGEMENT - for this position proven success managing to an aggressive schedule is a MUST
- MS Project - this is not a trainable skill and does not easily translate to other PM tools, therefore MS Project is a MUST
- STRONG COMMUNICATION - MUST have STRONG communication skills - this person will be dealing with IT and business partners
- EXECUTION - ability to DRIVE delivery and contain scope/schedule/cost while achieving the end goal
- SCOPE MANAGEMENT - this position is not the analyst, but will be responsible for managing the translation of Requirements into design and acceptance criteria, as well as ongoing scope containment
- CHANGE MANAGEMENT - ability to execute change management through a formal process
- RISK and ISSUE MANAGEMENT - experience with risk workshops, risk analysis, issue management, formal risk and issue logs.
- FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT - balanced approach to resources, appropriate utilization, and management of costs allocated against capital AND expense
- PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE - programming experience is a PLUS (but not required) in communicating with the developers and understanding why all the pieces go together.
- AGILE DEVELOPMENT APPROACHES - for this position practical experience in an agile environment is a plus
- PM EXPERIENCE - greater than 5 years
- PROJECT SCALE - multiple projects; has previously supported several medium ($500K-$750K) efforts concurrently
- LOCAL - Must be local
- NOTES - Looking for a variety of industry experience, does not have to be a healthcare focus
- CERTIFICATION - PMP is NOT required

Position Summary
This position is responsible for general project management duties, analysis, and support of internal products/services/programs. Resources will serve as a liaison between internal clients, operational staff, and IT. Duties will include development of project plans, creation and distribution of issues list, escalation management, facilitating cross functional meetings (eg agenda preparation, reports distribution, material gathering and distribution, and communication of decisions/results, etc.). This position also requires analytical skills, working with internal clients, cross functional operational areas, and IT to analyze requirements with the goal of defining development needs and business process needs required to meet those program requirements.

Duties
Requires the ability to work with and influence cross functional to implement new requirements effectively and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to understand technical process flows and complex requirements. Ability to project manage deliverables across multiple departments and follow-up to ensure completion. Knowledge of Prescription Benefit Management industry. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook or Lotus Notes and Web applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills. Ability to exercise professional judgement in analysing and resolving client issues. Ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and business correspondence. Effective presentation skills with the ability to make group presentations.

Experience
At least nine years of relevant work experience in management, project management, healthcare industry required. At least five years of management or project management experience.

Education
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
