Project Manager

Project Manager position with a client located in the Marietta, GA area for someone ideally with a Point of Sale equipment or similar background. This is a contract position with the potential to extend and possibly become a direct hire depending on how well the assignment is managed. Local candidates only.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Create, revise, and execute project work plans to meet customer changing needs and requirements
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of project(s) and scope
- Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client to minimize exposure and risk on projects
- Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
- Effectively communicates relevant project/status information to sales and management team
- Manage day-to-day client interaction to include setting and managing client expectations

REQUIREMENTS

- College, Technical Degree, or equivalent industry experience
- Approximately ten or more years of technical project management experience, ideally with Point of Sale or similar equipment & projects
- Demonstrated hands on project management experience and proficiency with a solid project planning and process improvement background
- An ability to enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different customer requests as well as exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Strong staff management and financial / budget analysis skills
