Project Management Analyst - Finance

DESCRIPTION:

An opportunity has arisen within one of the world's largest asset management firms whom are seeking a project management analyst to join their team in Edinburgh on an initial 11 month maternity contract basis.

Based within the expense operations division, the role holder will be responsible for assisting the finance project team in collecting business requirements to create and manage a successful project in a P2P environment.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Build Visio workflow documents and develop project plan and timelines
- Implement project plan which includes testing, test scripts, project updates and project reporting
- Work in collaboration with various finance teams to understand their current business workflow and how systems interact
- Create and manage meetings, prepare BPRs and testing and training sessions.
- Identifying varying business needs and implementing solutions to minimise risk - escalating issues as and when required

- Excellent attention to detail and accurate processing of currencies/values/vendors is preferred
- Passionate about the delivery of exceptional customer services
- Excellent communication skills by telephone, written and in person throughout all levels of the business

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

- The position is geared towards financial systems and P2P processing, therefore working knowledge of financial systems such as Oracle and Ariba are essential
- IT systems literate including competent use of Microsoft Excel is essential
- Previous experience of payables experience is preferred but strong candidates with experience in other finance processing roles will be considered
- Preferably educated to a degree level
- Use of different languages would be an advantages
