Project Engineering Manager

A Project Manager is required for this engineering consultancy business within the food process sector based in London. The successful Project Manager will hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and have project engineering experience and previous management engineering functions, competent in Spanish Language, reading, writing and speaking.

This role includes overseas travel to engineer, project manage and commission processes, therefore the Project Manager will be able and willing to travel, sometimes at short notice.

The Project Manager responsibilities include:

- Safety: Ensures safe design and operation of projects by employing suitable systems such

as HAZOP, standards and procedures.
- Plan and manage a range of projects from feasibility to hand over, meeting project objectives

for safety, cost, schedule and quality.
- Manage project scope change, risk and variations as necessary.
- Manage and carry out visits to the clients' premises to conduct technical discussions, plant

surveys, and process commissioning.
- Enhance relationships with clients and keep regular contact.
- Manage a multi-disciplinary project team of engineers and support staff.
- Plan and estimate costs for resource and equipment.
- Manage and help prepare specifications to determine equipment capacities and sizes.
- Prioritise and ensure completion of work during periods of heavy workload.

The Project Manager will be highly skilled in planning and executing multiple activities and have proven management skills involving medium to large teams

Ideally the Project Manager will will be degree qualified and Spanish speaking along with good knowledge of engineering project disciplines eg HAZOP techniques
