Project Engineer - Radar in Henlow, Bedfordshire for Government Sector

ROLE: PROJECT ENGINEER - ( DEFENSE/RADAR )

LOCATION: HENLOW, BEDFORDSHIRE

DURATION: 6 Months Initially with possible extension

KEY TASKS:

Someone with Military experience working with Radars. 

Candidate with an engineering background who has worked with in project teams responsible for installations of Radars on military aircraft.

Produce Documentation and act as a subject matter expert for the following: Survey Reports, Work Service Documentation, Health & Safety Briefs, Installation and Recovery Documentation

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

As a member of Radars ATC Installation and Design you are part of and will carry out work for the Air Defence & Air Traffic Service Delivery Team. The work is primarily on Airfield Surveillance Radars and with some occasional work associated with Air Defence Radar equipment throughout the UK.

You will undertake installation and design and project manage tasks as assigned to you by Line Management.

The postholder will be expected to carry out site surveys for future Radar installations and changes to existing installations.

They will need to be able to produce comprehensive installation and recovery briefs, risk assessments and drawings. The briefs will include safe systems of work, to enable a properly controlled installation, modification & recovery. These information packages will be primary and secondary airfield radars, for use by service and civilian installation teams. Associated with this work, the postholder will be expected to produce work service and health & safety briefs for the work mentioned above. They will also be expected to provide support to other areas within the delivery team that requires the aforementioned expertise.
