Project Engineer/Program Manager (Not IT) Job

PROJECT ENGINEER/PROGRAM MANAGER needed for a 12 month contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Erie, PA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Manufacturing or Industrial Environment
- Primavera (P6 or MS Project)
- Financial Tracking and Reporting

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Work duties and scope outlined includes delivery of program scheduling functions for the ECoE-Drives and Train control organization.
- The position will be expected to lead program scheduling, program managements and driving timely execution while supporting the program and engineering leaders.
- Expected to leverage Primavera P6 &/or MS Project to build scheduling infrastructure, scheduling templates.
- The position will recommend and implement as appropriate proper program practices as well.
- In addition to building scheduling rigor and execution, creation and maintaining of key metrics, scorecard and dashboards will be expected to help the engineering leaders keep up to date on project status and risk mitigation actions.
- These metrics should be useful in driving accountability for tasks and would have to be automated.
- Need creation of resource loading profiles to help engineering leaders understand resource capacity and demand constraints/gaps.
- Also creation of project and resource specific task lists will be required, to provide overview to individuals for upcoming tasks for execution.
- Overtime productivity in creating of these metrics through automation will be expected.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE: (QUALIFICATIONS)

- Bachelor of Engineering degree and/or Masters in Project Management with technical background in controls/electrical design
- At least seven to ten (7 - 10) years of Project management/Project coordination experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment with controls and software development background knowledge.
- Experience in controls development and software development project planning and co-ordination
- Proven expert in Primavera P6 softwareexperience with database management software (MS Access) (Word, Excel, etc.) and file data manipulation. Ability to automate report generation.
- At least two (2) years' experience in detailed project financial tracking and reporting
- Knowledgeable of engineering, manufacturing, sourcing and customer service processes in technology industrial environment.
- Strong organizational/project execution skills and prior success in working with or leading cross-functional teams
- Customer satisfaction mind set
- Demonstrated leadership, team building, and communication
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good people skills, self-driven, pro-active
- Ability to analyze data, create and maintain scorecards and communicate project status effectively

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Masters Degree in Engineering
- Ten (10) + years in Project or Program Management
- Experience with EcoE-drives or Train Controls
- Create and maintain internal and external project schedules and resource plans for every project.
