Project Engineer

A leading Automotive OEM is currently seeking highly experienced Project Engineer to work in their Warwickshire location in the Body Engineering Division:

Project Engineer:

Project Engineer within Body Engineering. Primary activity will be to develop and deliver damage protection solutions for a number of BE commodities. Analysis and resolution of quality issues identified by internal and external indicators including Warranty, JD Powers, PCPA, RFT, TGW. Co-ordination of plant quality, production and supplier issues Report out at sub-system team reviews. VQR's and PQR's to schedule in support of the VRT Leader. Robust delivery of Quality driven projects utilising standard reporting methods such as 8D, 6 panels, A3s. Management of engineering change in WERS through CMM as required.

Skills Required:
Proven Project management capability demonstrated by recent delivery on time & budget. General Engineering knowledge of Body components - design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements. Excellent communications skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels PC Literacy Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc. Working knowledge of change management processes AIMS, WERS, PACN

Skills Preferred:
CAD Literacy ability to manipulate and interrogate CAD data and use associated visualisation tools would be an advantage. Working knowledge of project delivery processes GPDS / FPDS / PPAP Significant experience in use of engineering tools FMEA, Six Sigma, problem resolution etc. Green Belt or Black Belt trained - desirable Any person supplied should have a valid UK driving licence and meet the medical requirements of J&LR facilities

Experience Required:
Successful history of delivery within automotive sector

Experience Preferred:
Ideally within the automotive sector or adjacent industries, eg rail, aerospace, defence, energy etc

Education Required:
Ideally degree educated
