Project Design Engineer - Hydraulics -£35,000 to £42,000 - Lancashire

This company is a specialist provider of hydraulic and lubrication systems, work-holding and production automation solutions for most industrial sectors. You will be part of the engineering division looks after the concept design, detail design, project management and technical support for standardised and bespoke fluid power systems.

This role is for a 'hands on' Project Design Engineer who is confident making decisions, managing projects and costs, preparing quotations and managing contract variations, overseeing workshop build and site installations and solving problems confident preparing associated documentation, including but not limited to: quality plans, method statements, risk assessments, system write-ups, valve schedules.

You will be expected to display a positive and motivational leadership style in order to promote and develop a 'can do' culture that is customer and stakeholder focused to ensure all projects are managed effectively, delivered on time and on budget.

You will have:

-Mechanical Engineering Degree qualified (HNC/HND Considered)
-Minimum 4 years engineering experience within a similar industry
-With strong interpersonal and consulting skills you will be a team player and have the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and relationships whilst also adept at making commercial and technical decisions
- Experience with knowledge and experience with 3D CAD Package e.g. (AutoCad / Inventor desirable)
- Knowledge of hydraulic system and component knowledge is important whilst experience in related technical disciplines; electrical, pneumatic or lubrication systems is desirable.
-An understanding of hydraulic circuitry and engineering/fluid power calculations is desirable
