Project Consultant

- Contract through June 30
- Convenient base location with some travel
- Negotiable salary

My client is seeking a Project Consultant to facilitate a large medical information system implementation. The successful candidate will have an indepth understanding of clinical care processes or similar, a strong understanding of business analysis, project management methodology and experience in integrating IT into a clinical environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Identifying and analysing system, business and organisational changes
- Building relationships and working closely with the relevant project teams to identify new or revised business process changes
- Working with the benefit owners to diagnose variances against the benefit plan and recommending initiatives to correct the variances
- Reviewing current reporting practices and assisting in developing state-wide standard KPI reporting standards
- Supporting communication activities including providing information via presentations
- Contributing to change management including stakeholder management, communications, training, and benefits management to support project delivery
- Assist with defining resource requirements, supporting and developing skills in project teams
- Implement project quality management including determining quality requirements, implementing quality assurance activities, and determining lessons learnt for continuous quality improvements.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- The ability to educate and coach implementation teams in change and benefits management methodology, tools and templates
- High level analytical, research and problem solving skills and the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrate excellent customer service, communication skills and ability to work with clinicians and other professional staff and stakeholders to deliver high quality outcomes.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, listening, negotiation and facilitation skills and ability to work independently and/or collaboratively in a project team environment within a complex organisation
- Current driver's license recognised in NSW and capacity and willingness to travel to business and corporate service locations within NSW regional towns and centres ad hoc and overnight
