Project Assurance Manager/Programme Assurance Manager

Practicus are now working with one of the UK's leading transport organisations on the hire of a Project Assurance Manager to assist in the implementation of a number of key projects.

The successful candidate will be tasked with liaising with the stakeholders of the business providing feedback and reports to them on the progress of projects across various departments. The nature of the projects will mainly be around infrastructure, cultural and process review and it is critical they are completed on time and within budget.

On a day to day basis your main responsibilities will be to stay close to all project teams, gaining updates and processing reports on what stage they are at. This information will then need to be relayed back to relevant stakeholders within the business. Although the accountability of the delivery of the project will not lie with you, being able to step in and help if needed is important.

As you will have numerous lines of communication it is important to be able to communicate effectively and manage multiple things concurrently. Having structure and method to your work will be important as the information you relay will need to be timely and precise. Some of the challenges you will face may be around getting people to embrace change and there may be some internal resistance this therefore will need to be managed and bringing innovation to the company will also be important.

Key Skills:

- Must have strong project or programme assurance experience
- Experience within rail or transport
- Open communicator
- Ability to manage multiple things concurrently
- Ability to assist with delivery in needed
