Project Accountant required with experience of accountancy on long term capital projects. You will be working for a high profile Financial Services organisation in Swindon who are looking to offer 6 month initial contract

THE JOB:

To support two strategically significant transformation programmes.

This project accounting role supports a major cost saving programme. The role will involve working closely with Project and Programme Managers and the relevant Heads of the Transformation providing financial management support to the programme. The candidate would play a pivotal role, supporting and challenging the project management stakeholders. This involves the preparation and reporting of project actual costs and monthly life cycle forecasting, analysis of variances to budgets, benefit forecasting, preparation of funding submission documentation, and business case review as appropriate. The Project Accountant is a key project team member and business partner providing both financial and commercial support to all project stakeholders as appropriate.

The role requires the translation of business strategies into executable change initiatives and includes:

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified
- Accountancy on large scale projects/programmes
- Analytical skills
- Excel skills
- Strong communicator
