Projektbeschreibung

PRG has an excellent contract opportunity to work in experienced finance project team with key focus of supporting the migration of an existing sub ledger system to new Oracle system.

This position is with a leading financial service organisation based in Edinburgh and they require some contract support throughout the migration process.

As a Project Accountant, you will report to Manager/Senior Manager and take responsibility for:

Work with existing &lsquobusiness as usual&rsquo teams &ndash financial control, balance sheet, treasury etc.
&lsquoHands on&rsquo role &ndash involvement in testing phases of the project and roll out at migration
Develop knowledge of finance systems i.e. Oracle
Assist with development of Finance Impact Assessment
Develop new General Ledger structure in Oracle
Perform UAT on new GL and key outputs
Test key reporting returns i.e. IFRS, Statutory and BoE
Highlight differences between old and new models
Support project governance and keep stakeholders aware of progress

Ideally, you will be Qualified Accountant or with demonstrable &lsquoqualified by experience&rsquo exposure and would be advantageous that experience has been gained or &lsquoin part&rsquo within financial services.

It will be advantageous to have finance systems orientated background, possess strong &lsquobusiness as usual&rsquo reporting and key systems skills i.e. MS Excel and Access.

This is an excellent medium to long-term contract opportunity and as sits within project environment, will offer a chance to continue contracting in other core projects.
