PROJECT ACCOUNTANT

ACCA, ACA, ICAS, CIMA, FCA

My client, a leading law firm, are looking for a Project Accountant to join on a contract basis, based in London. Reporting to the Senior Project Management team and working alongside a small number of team colleagues and a diverse set of stakeholders, the Project Accountant will be responsible for reporting progress against budget to various stakeholders by tracking actuals and updating forecasts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Liaising with Programme Managers to report actuals and discuss and update forecasts and align projected and realised benefits;
- Analyse variations, identify possible delays and determine financial impact;
- Work with stakeholders to identify risks to schedule;
- Summarize individual workstreams to provide overall project status information.
- Portfolio prioritisation, tracking and governance;
- Delivery planning, estimation, task scheduling, resourcing and recruitment;
- Financial controls and benefits management;
- Scope, risk and issue management;
- Quality management controls and assurance activity;
- Delivery governance arrangements through the provision of accurate
- Is experienced in managing large and complex sets of data, using mainly Excel at an advanced level;
- Has worked with accounting systems and has basic understanding of related procedures and functions;
- Has worked and maintained working relationship at all levels of seniority from executive to project team member and supplier representatives.
- Expert knowledge of MS Excel, including complex formulas, links and pivot tables;
- Good working knowledge of MS Access, Project, Word
- Has utilized enterprise level ERP systems and databases;
- Has developed & maintained programme & project-level controls
