Programme Manager - Ecommerce, Retail

PROGRAMME MANAGER - ECOMMERCE, RETAIL:

Programme Manager with eCommerce and retail required reporting into the Head Of eCommerce. We are looking for an experienced and capable individual with significant project management, programme management as well as experience managing large scale accounts ideally within a consultancy environment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the management of a number of project managers to ensure project reporting is undertaken, collaborating on issue and risk management and escalating issues as required to the appropriate level.

Working in a fast paced and highly responsive environment the candidate must be an effective worker with excellent communication and decision making skills.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

In addition to these key activities the role also requires wider responsibilities as outlined below.

- Experience of managing people and financial budgets (including programme budgeting, monitoring financials etc).
- Experience of managing project budgets in excess of £1m+
- Experience of overseeing 3rd parties.
- Experience of fixed price delivery projects and excellent risk management skills
- Strong leadership skills with experience of managing other project managers.
- Strong time management & organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Excellent negotiation skills and an ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
- Good commercial knowledge, experience of contract negotiations would be advantageous.
- Maintaining a resource plan showing resource commitments across the projects and keeping track of potential end dates in association with functional lead personnel
- Keeping track of resource requests and managing fulfilment of these requests internally or externally as appropriate
- Ensuring that new recruits are appropriately performance managed
- Contract renewal management, staff appraisals
- Experience of managing multiple projects with some exposure to eCommerce and the Retail industry (5 years minimum)
- Software Application Development related management experience (min 7 years)
- Exposure to medium to large scale fixed price project delivery

Some UK travel will be required
