A Programme Director is required to initiate the establishment of a programme, to deliver the company's ambition for a health and social care integration agenda. This will be building on the work that has already taken place
Job role:
- Ensure appropriate project/programme management arrangement are in place to deliver the initial projects/workstreams.
- Deliver a detailed plan for the delivery of the initial phases of the programme and its projects/workstreams and a high level milestone plan for the whole of the programme.
- Ensure sufficient resources are made available to support the delivery of key workstreams (and make a case for the resources).
- Working with key stakeholders to identify and quantify the benefits the programme will deliver.
- Set the framework for the delivery of the programme blueprint/target operating model.
- Ensure that there is a robust programme framework and sufficient resources in place to support the delivery of the programme going forward.
- Identify, describe and manage the links and dependences with other key change programmes.
- Engage with the CEO's of both the organisation and public health sector CCGs, the Health and Wellbeing Board and other key stakeholders to engender commitment, and bring pace and discipline/rigour to the delivery of the BCF (Better Care Fund - £42 million allocated to Sheffield) plan.
- Make recommendations on the appropriate governance for the programme going forward.
Essential Skills/experience:
- Extensive Programme Director/Programme Management cover a budget up to and over £42 million.
- Track record of successfully managing and delivering a diverse range of, complex programmes.
- Well developed, project/programme management skills, ideally having led multi-functional teams.
- Ability to lead from the front and motivate/influence others to high performance.
- Advanced level of financial management including resolution of conflicting priorities, budget monitoring, reporting and control procedures.
- Experience in dealing with conflicting organisational, service and management priorities and making sound strategic recommendations.
- Excellent analysis and reporting skills to inform decision makers.
- Awareness of the environment within which local authorities and CCGs operate including. the need to provide modernized, customer driven services and the wider efficiency agenda.
- Ability to prepare business cases and prepare reports for senior management.
- Ability to lead and manage change to achieve positive outcomes, including influencing and directing others.
