Program Manager - LTE Program

The LTE Program Managers will deploy LTE at ~20, 000 cell sites in 2013. They will manage the work required to launch clusters of LTE sites. The PMs manage hundreds of sites simultaneously.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conducts end to end project management of large or multiple large projects.
- Works as a team member or runs individual projects and is responsible for completing projects within allotted timeline and budget.
- Clarifies project scope and objectives, coordinates activities of a project team, and identifies resources and implementation strategy.
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis, including project interdependencies.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards, internal processes and reviews project deliverables.
- Provides team leadership driving the technical and analytical requirements from the project team.
- Recommends and takes action to drive the analysis and solutions of problems.
- Collaborates across multiple functions within the company to drive project results.
- Drives large complex projects to completion from conception to implementation deployment.
- Leads cross functional teams to deliver the defined solutions within the allotted timeline and budget.
- Provides overall direction and technical or analytical guidance to project and program teams that typically span multiple organizations, markets and outside suppliers/vendors.
- Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
- Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
- Drives the team to resolve all issues and roadblocks within a timely fashion.
- Serves as a liaison between various teams/organization.
- Manages project budget, schedule, communication, deliverables, risks and progress reporting.
- Communicates with stakeholders, internal clients, external vendors and executive leadership as required.
- Identifies and reports on risks and jeopardies using project management tracking tools.
- Ensures that critical path dates are base lined and managed effectively.
- Ensures quality execution and deployment of programs and projects.
- Delivers Program Management Deliverables (ie, hand-off package) timely and thoroughly

SKILLS

LTE and RAN deployment experience required. Must have knowledge of telecommunications network infrastructure, Project Management structure and life cycle, cellular network deployment and cellular network infrastructure including ability to assimilate complex technical interdependencies that may drive project requirements. Telecommunications Network knowledge needed. Must have Wireless/Cellular Network deployment experience and be an expert in Wireless Engineering Principles. Strong project/program management experience required, with an understanding of Network Equipment/Architecture systems and operations. Minimum 8 years' experience managing large complex Network Technical projects needed,
Must have excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and strong relationship building and negotiation skills. Must be able to recognize and solve problems quickly and be process oriented. MS Office software suite and MS Project skills needed. PMP certification is a plus. Bachelor of Business/Engineering/Math/Science degree or equivalent experience preferred.
