Our client a major government organization is seeking an enthusiastic individual to be part of a dynamic team.
PRIMARY PURPOSE
This position will oversee the delivery of assigned Asset Initiatives reform projects by ensuring program management standards (plans/scheduling, risk, governance), program financial reporting, project and program status reporting and any change management and communications are managed effectively. Key Activities
- Oversee the Asset Initiatives reform projects and provide expert program management services to the Program Director.
- Influence delivery of program objectives by coordinating the activities of accountable managers, identifying problems, blockages, and facilitating actions for remedial action.
- Assist the Program Director with development of reform strategies and champion them within the organisation in the interests of effective delivery.
- Assist the Program Director with organisational and change management activities liaising with stakeholders as required.
- Lead integrated business risk management frameworks into the strategic and operational management of reform projects to ensure contingencies are appropriately managed.
- Lead the development of project milestones for all initiatives to facilitate completion.
- Ensure suitable monitoring and reporting on project delivery (safety quality, time and costs) is established within the Asset Initiatives team.
- Ensure monitoring and reporting required by stakeholders is completed accurate and timely.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Demonstrated experience and capacity to influence significant, multi-disciplinary organisational changes and improvements in a public sector environment.
- Demonstrated experience in successful program management of deep dive organisational reform or organisational change initiatives within the rail industry.
- Proven capacity to establish relationships, work in partnership with stakeholders and employees and influence Senior Executive.
- High level conceptual and analytical skills, and the capacity to develop and drive solutions for a range of complex issues.
- Knowledge of issues currently impacting on the organisation's ability to deliver cost effective services and the impact on long established asset management and people strategies.
- Ability to plan and pursue challenging goals whilst successfully managing competing priorities.
- Highly developed oral and written skills, particularly relevant to consultation, reporting, and presentations at a senior level.
