An exciting new 6 month contract opportunity is currently available for a Program Director to join this large scale reputable Government Organisation. The Program Director will be required to supplement the resources of the organisation with expert skills, knowledge and experience to help manage and direct the implementation of a contemporary HR/Payroll system. This is a new program of work incorporating a series of projects focussing on utilising new technologies, systems and processes to increase business efficiencies. The Program Director will be responsible for providing leadership, management, program governance, coordination and direction to the relevant project.

Key Responsibilities for the Program Director will be as follows;
Day-to-day management of the program, including taking the program forward from appointment, supervising and closing the program
Being the day-to-day agent on behalf of the SRO, for successful delivery of the new capability
Planning and designing the program and proactively monitoring its overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate
Defining the program's governance framework
Effective coordination of the projects and their interdependencies
Managing and resolving any risks and other issues that may arise
Maintaining overall integrity and coherence of the program, and developing and maintaining the program environment to support each individual project within it
Managing the program's budget, monitoring the expenditures and costs against benefits that are realised as the program progresses
Facilitating the appointment of individuals to the project delivery teams
Ensuring architectural coherence within the program via design authority alignment (and possible creation)
Ensuring that the delivery of new products or services from the projects meets program requirements and is to the appropriate quality, on time and budget
Ensuring maximum efficiency in the allocation of resources and skills within the projects dossier
Managing third-party contributions to the program
Managing the communications with stakeholders Initiate extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the program are identified or issues arise

To be successful for this role you will have the following key experience, skills and attributes;
Tertiary and/or appropriate qualifications (preferably in disciplines associated with project and program management) and substantial industry experience in implementing complex, high-profile HCM programs.
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing large and complex technology-enabled change programs within a government context, preferably in the HR domain.
Demonstrated experience in managing transition activities after the project deliverables are complete to ensure program outcomes and benefits realisation are achieved.
High level of interpersonal skills as demonstrated by successful outcomes in the areas of presentation, consultation, negotiation.
