Production Support Analyst - Development Operational Support - (DMZ, Linux) - Investment Banking (Contract)

Join a global team responsible for developing the architecture to build for many of the organisation's trading, sales and market-making applications. The platform is used by development groups across all divisions to deliver to their business area. The focus of the group spans web technologies for use in desktop and mobile applications both internally and for external client access. The team is looking for an experienced analyst to build out a DevOps function to support the new strategic global platform.

Responsibilities include:

• Optimize the support cost and scalability of the Development platform and QA and Production runtimes through Automation.
• Control of the strategic Web Platform runtimes and deployment into DMZ.
• Interact with developers and project managers to plan and shape the delivery of solutions into the codebase.
• Design and influence the deployment architecture for the strategic Web Platform.
• Production and QA Gatekeeper role for the SDLC process for the strategic Web Platform.
• Hands on development of toolsets to manage the platform.
• Point for level 2 support for the strategic Web platform.

Skills/Experience required:

• Strong professional Operational Support management experience
• Recent experience of managing external internet facing applications
• DMZ knowledge and experience
• Knowledge and recent experience of gradle, maven, python.
• Linux OS admin background and experience.
