Production Supervisor

Immediate 3+ month contract opportunity in Boston, Massachusetts for a Production Supervisor from medical device packaging industry. The right candidate will provide day-to-day direction to the production personnel concerning work assignments, overtime requirements, quality issues/non-conformances, and site priorities. Oversee the production process and production documentation (SOPs, Drawings, Work Instructions) to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements. Bring your leadership and previous FDA packaging compliance knowledge to a great team. This is a great short term assignment in very convenient location for the right individual!

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervise the kitting and packaging operations of 20 plus employees including driving department performance through various production and quality metrics such as output, yield, production schedule, daily fill rates.
- Oversee and manage the training records for the production personnel using the electronic training system
- Work closely with the Engineering Support and Quality Deparments
- Work with other company sites to coordinate and support labeling, kitting activities, rework, and serialization
- Other responsibilities include business partnering, understanding material flow, production equipment, routing maintenance/PM records
- Develop, implement and maintain the production documentation

REQUIREMENTS

- BS degree required in either an Engineering discipline or Life Sciences
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment and a regulated industry as well as a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and Powerpoint
- Experience with automated systems and SAP is required
- Hands on experience with production and/or manufacturing equipment is required
- Experience with problem solving techniques (Fishbone, Cause & Effect, FMEAs) are preferred
