Production Control Analyst Job

PRODUCTION CONTROL ANALYST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Collegeville, PA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provides monitoring and support of the production job flow in a multi-platform environment.
- Must be able to work in a rotating 3-day work week consisting of 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays when assigned.
- Monitors the production environment, consisting of Mainframe, UNIX, and NT platforms using established tools. Responds to job failures and correct problems according to established procedures.
- Escalates issues requiring second-level support to appropriate individuals using established call escalation procedures
- Takes appropriate action to ensure that processes are completed according to the schedule provided. Documents issues into the Problem Management system and conducts follow-up for proper resolutions.
- Informs relevant production analysts and user of outstanding issues that require further follow-up.
- Provides appropriate turnover of activities and environment to the next shift.
- Provides status to manager detailing issues impacting deliveries requiring attention.
- Provides training to new/Junior Analysts as required.
- Acts as a product-specific or procedural SME in the absence of Scheduling and/or supervisor.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Associates degree plus five to seven (5-7) years of experience in a production environment. Previous experience in production environment is required.
- Strong OS JCL & SDSF skill set required. Proficiency in Cybermation/ESP scheduling software package.
- Experience with QMS Service Center or equivalent Problem Management Tool. Basic Knowledge of UNIX & NT environments.
- Must possess Strong Analytical and problem solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of IMS Standards and products a plus.
