PRODUCTION APPLICATION SUPPORTER (L2)

Our client, headquartered in ZURICH, is an important subsidiary of a global company in the FINANCE INDUSTRY.

We are looking for a 2ND LEVEL PRODUCTION APPLICATION SUPPORTER with A FINANCIAL/BANKING BACKGROUND. For this contract position based in Zurich, our client is looking for an ENGLISH-SPEAKING candidate who can start AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

SCOPE OF WORK:

- Provide in-depth 2nd level support across a number of in-house high-profile FX trading applications including root cause identification, bug fixing and problem management
- Engaging with application development teams in capacity as Subject Matter Expert within application support to ensure support requirements are delivered with application releases to make them support-ready and on documenting changes
- Leading major incidents including face off to senior managers within business and IT
- Leading subprojects for IT production with focus on applications
- Coordination and planning of team missions
- Creation and maintenance of Shell or batch scripts and Control-M jobs
- Conduct emergency procedures (BCM) for applications

SKILLS:

- 5+ YEARS OF PRODUCTION SUPPORT EXPERIENCE of multiple high-profile applications within a large organization ideally within a trading environment
- Understanding of BASIC BUSINESS CONCEPTS WITHIN A BANK TRADING ENVIRONMENT (FX products) - UNIX/SQL QUERYING (ORACLE/MICROSOFT SQL)/WINDOWS SERVER/LINUX
- KNOWLEDGE OF A SCRIPT LANGUAGE (eg Perl, Windows HostScripting, VB, KShell, PL/SQL)
- Knowledge of RELATIONAL DATABASES
