Production Analyst/Accountant - Contract

A small independent Oil & Gas company is urgently searching for an experienced Production Analyst/Accountant to work on a contract position. It is a short-term contract, however, there is potential for it to become long term. The position is based in the Galleria area. Brief Description: This Production Accountant/Production Analyst will be responsible for entering and maintaining production data in the company's Production Accounting system. Essential Functions: Maintaining oil, gas and water allocation networks Compiling and maintaining completions, production and sales volumes (daily/monthly) Federal regulatory compliance Provide Revenue Accounting with monthly allocation of oil, gas and water production and sales volumes Provide JIB with monthly producing status and well count. Investigate and resolve volumes discrepancies Audit Production Database for data accuracy on a daily and monthly basis Provide partners with daily and monthly volume information Work closely with other departments (Operations, Revenue and Marketing) to gather information needed to allocate oil, gas and water Assist with special projects as needed Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail Merrick/Evin experience a plus Must communicate effectively with internal and external clients Flexibility to work hours as needed to meet deadlines
