Product Valuation Controller

A Product Valuation Controller is required by Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London. The Successful candidate will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of derivatives pricing models and their relative characteristics. Experience of approaching pricing problem and estimation of the effects of unobservable or illiquid valuation parameters. Strong degree in a quantitative area - economics, mathematics etc is essential

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Participating in the month end price verification process, particularly around exotic equity products
* Regular review and calibration of valuation adjustments methodologies
* Development of price testing and valuation adjustment methodologies
* Feeding back on models and how appropriate they are
* Regular liaison with Finance, Middle Office, Front Office Traders, Quants and Risk Managers

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* University degree (or higher) in a quantitative area - Economics, Mathematics
* Industry specific experience in price testing/valuations environment.
* Relevant post grad qualification is highly desirable
* In-depth knowledge of derevatives pricing models and their relative characteristics
* Experience in how to approach pricing problems and estimation of the effects of unobservable or illiquid valuation parameters
* Strong communication skills - Able to communicate concepts both verbally and written via documentation to all levels.
